My friend Haley and I each made a t-shirt recently, for him to learn how to sew and for me to make my ideal basic tee. It was a good opportunity to put together a tutorial, and also shows how the same steps can be modified for a different fit across different bodies.
While Haley's had a more masculine fit that cut straight across the arm, I went with a more feminine slant on the sleeve. Both of us did rounded hems on the bottom, but this is another spot where you can change things up for yourself. If you move away from white/grey/black you can also use this same tutorial to make much more interesting t-shirts.
