DIY: Matching Set

You don't have to be with a friend to be matchy matchy, you can just coordinate with yourself! But if you and a friend both wear matching sets... that takes "twinsies" to new heights.

Last summer, Taylor Swift was spotted around NYC in a variety of matching sets that looked playful and coordinated all at the same time. And really, it's just making a top and bottom out of the same fabric!

I put mine together using some sheer white cotton that had solid flowers embroidered into the design. If I were to do it over again I would probably make the skirt even more flouncy, but that may have to wait for another day. I would have also added pockets (never met someone who hates pockets in skirts), but I was wrapping this up the night before an awards event for work. It was a great outfit for dancing AND I managed to survive the whole evening in brand new heels, more than enough success for a day. If you do try this tutorial, please carry out my wishes for a bigger skirt and pockets!

Below are the steps I doodled into my notebook and the video tutorial, enjoy!
